Over 30 Years of Drug Testing
American Toxicology is a Licensed Medical Laboratory that was founded in 1982. The sole purpose for the laboratory was to establish a local, reliable source of drug testing for Pre-Employment drug testing. Our Drug Testing methods have been fine tuned and perfected and we now service several hundred clients including all kinds of business, trades, legal testing, and government contracts. Hair Testing - We began doing hair testing in the lab only after a Family Court Judge suggested to our laboratory general supervisor that we ought to check into it as a method of testing. At the time our founder thought that was a silly idea and probably not a reliable means of drug testing. However after looking into it more he was swayed to the ideology that perhaps it would be a viable means of determining drug abuse because the window of detection was much longer than that of urine. So he piloted a methodology for hair drug testing which turned out to be a great way to detect drug usage. Our hair drug testing will detect drug usage from the past 90 days of usage (depending on the length of the hair, approximately 30 days for every 1/2 inch of hair). This same method for hair drug testing has been used for the past few decades. We offer a 5-Panel Hair drug test.
Urine Testing - The lab opened as a drug testing laboratory which preformed urine drug testing. We currently do our urine drug testing on chemistry auto analyzers with a high volume throughput. We offer customizable urine drug panel tests. But most people want the NIDA 5 Panel, or the 10 Panel tests. Urine generally has a window of detection which includes the past few days on most drugs.

Our Real Name is ATI, Inc. DBA American Toxicology. We're not trying to be confusing or anything, but you know how corporate stuff is. Create one business then go with another name for tax reasons, change the business name a time or two when you change ownership or corporate goals etc... So to keep it simple we created the DBA of American Toxicology because that's what all of our wonderful clients know us by.

None of the owners are avid chemists, toxicologists or mad scientists. Surprise?!? They're more like your average family oriented fun loving people who know the difference between right and wrong and have a simple desire for success in business. Integrity is essential to our operations and there is no wiggle room between black and white in our line of work.

Our Las Vegas offices are centrally located for your convenience. And since we specialize in Drug Testing, our patients experience minimal wait times. The Charleston and Pecos office is open Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. We offer Hair & Urine Drug Testing collections at this office, DOT collections, Breath Alcohol Testing, Blood Alcohol Testing & Paternity Testing. This office is our main business office and it also houses our Laboratory. The Sahara office is open Monday - Saturday from 7:30am - 9:00pm. These extended hours have been helpful for those with busy family life, or a demanding work schedule. At the Sahara office we offer Drug Testing Collections for both hair and urine. We also offer DOT collections and blood alcohol collections here.

This rigorous certification program requires experience in performing specimen collections, training of collection personnel to become proficient in urine specimen collections for drug testing in the work place as well as comprehensive examination to test the proficiency level of the individual collector. By employing Certified Professional Collectors and Certified Professional Collector Trainers, American Toxicology can ensure its clients that specimen collections are performed in a professional and consistent manner. Maintaining confidentiality for the donor and security, integrity and control of the specimen.
Staff - Each office is staffed with professionally certified Lab Assistants who will make your experience the best that it could possibly be under the circumstances. The Collectors are also DOT certified. When you use American Toxicology as your Drug Testing Laboratory, you’ll get most of your results the very same day with our online reporting. After creating an account with American Toxicology, you'll get your own user account to our secure website database for your drug test requests and results.
Each time you want to send someone in for a drug test you simply login to our website, click on New Test, and submit a request for a test. Then send them to one of our convenient central locations with a valid photo ID (preferably their valid Drivers Licence, or Passport). Then we print out their drug test request form (also known as the Chain of Custody form) and begin to process their drug test collection. It's an easy paperless process for the employer! Then after their sample is delivered to the laboratory, and the test is preformed, you'll receive an email notification that the drug test results are complete. Regardless of whether you use hair or urine for your drug testing... positives or negatives, 98% of the results are usually reported within 24 hours from the time the patients' sample was collected. To Obtain accredited status, collection facilities are required to adhere to strict standards in areas such as regulatory compliance, company services standards, specimen handeling, operational practices, business ethics, and facility equipment. All accredited collection facilities are also required to maintain a staff of Certified Professional Collectors that are formally trained in DATIA's Collector Training Course, and a Certified Professional Collector trainer.
One of the most frustrating and costly aspects of workplace drug testing is the high incidence of rejected specimens due to errors at the collection site. As an Accredited Collection Facility staffed with well-trained collectors, we can assure our clients that American Toxicology maintains a minimal number of rejected specimens, thereby saving everyone time and resources.

Who can you trust to preform your drug testing?
How do you know your provider is reliable? You may think you’re dealing directly with a laboratory, but there is a good chance you’re dealing with one or more third parties who only collect samples under a parent company laboratory name, collect the samples and then ship them off to some laboratory in another State.
Make sure that the provider you’re choosing is in fact a licensed laboratory which can accurately represent each test. Many third parties may hold a laboratory license, but are only capable of performing an instant dip test and sending the positives samples out to a real laboratory for conformation. (Please be advised that per NRS Statute 652. It is unlawful for an employer to use instant drug tests in the state of Nevada, unless the test is carried out under the direction of the proper licensed medical laboratory).
